Parker History |
| Parker began as a simple trading post in the early 1800s, but in 1858 when gold was discovered in Colorado, over 100,000 people came down the trails. Alfred Butters built Pine Grove, a store, the post office, message center and stop for so many. And so the community grew. With our pioneer, cowboy and farming history, we were incorporated in 1981 with a population of just 300. Since then, we have exploded to over 48,000 people. What a great place to live. |
