Parker began as a simple trading post in the early 1800s, but in 1858 when gold was discovered in Colorado, over 100,000 people came down the trails. Alfred Butters built Pine Grove, a store, the post office, message center and stop for so many. And so the community grew. With our pioneer, cowboy and farming history, we were incorporated in 1981 with a population of just 300. Since then, we have exploded to over 48,000 people. What a great place to live. |

Mainstreet Center, Parker Recreation Center, and don't forget the Parker Arts, Cultural and Event Center that is going to be built in the spring and summer of 2010. All for you enjoyment. |
