Saving the environment doesn't have to be a herculean task nor does it mean spending lots of money. It's about adjusting our lifestyle and thinking reuse. For example, you don't have to go out and buy brand new boxes just for your move. Instead you can save money and reuse boxes from your local grocer or liquor store. Most have stacks of boxes they are intending to throw away into the landfill. Each box you reuse literally means one less box in the landfill.
Now you have your boxes, you can go out and buy packing material. And who doesn't love popping bubble wrap? But when thinking reuse, you can use old newspaper. Also, you might have a stack yourself somewhere already. Your neighbors are probably more than happy with you taking it off their hands too, and putting it to work.
And that's a good thing for the environment and saves you money. Ka-ching!
